Norwalk is a suburb about 15 miles outside of Los Angeles. It is a small town with a population just over 100,000 people. It offers the best of both worlds – it’s close enough to the city but far enough away that you can enjoy the quiet.

The median household income in Norwalk is just $61,000. Although it isn’t as low as some towns, it certainly is low for Los Angeles county.  The average property value is fairly high at almost $350,000. This number may represent an increase in value over the last decade or so. A lot of people who bought their homes years ago didn’t pay this much for their home.
