Sandy Gartin
My first career was in the entertainment business as a t.v. and movie producer with my own production company. After creating and developing stories with three-dimensional characters for film, the transition to becoming a psychotherapist was a natural one. I now meet three-dimensional characters in person with their own stories and I am able to help them create their own endings. I find this far more fulfilling than making movies.
While working as a producer in Los Angeles I went back to graduate school at night and on weekends to get my degree in psychology, ultimately left the industry and opened a private office in Beverly Hills. After spending 15 years there I returned to my home in New York City to continue as a psychotherapist. I continued seeing my California clients virtually.
Due to the coronavirus, I am now seeing all of my patients virtually and will continue to do so until this pandemic ends and life returns to some sense of what will be a new "normal."
