Rick Blood, LCPC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have been in practice in the Boise area since 2002.
My past experience includes addiction treatment with adolescents and adults, anger management and domestic battery treatment, as well as working with youth and parents within the public school system. I also have training in EMDR.
My areas of clinical interest include adults and adolescents (14+) dealing with Depression, Anxiety, Abuse/trauma, Marriage and relationship problems, Family dynamics, Parenting, and Anger management.
Therapy is difficult! My initial goal in treatment is to provide a positive and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can face difficult issues. The focus is on current struggles and behaviors, recognizing that the roots of our current problems sometimes lay in past hurts. Changing behaviors and healing those hurts is the ultimate goal of therapy.
While I am a Christian, I am happy to work with people from any religious background.
I grew up in the Treasure Valley where I still live with my amazing and beautiful daughter. When not in the office, I enjoy spending time in the gym, hiking/running, cooking with friends, or woodworking.
