Work History
My experience in this field of helping others extends to over 30 years with over 24 years as a therapist. I have been privileged to work in a variety of settings and organizations that provide counseling and behavioral health services to a variety of people. My experience includes children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, and families whether in an office or hospital setting. Some of the organizations that I have been associated with include St Joseph's Hospital, Palo Verde Hospital, Biblical Counseling Associates, MHC Healthcare, CODAC, and the Arizona Children's Association.
Skills
I have been trained in and studied several therapy models and primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Faith-based, and Family Systems. My hospital experience provided me with excellent diagnostic skills. When engaged in counseling with others, empathy, compassion, and understanding are foundational. Additionally, people need the support, guidance, and wisdom to make progress and gain the success over whatever has become their obstacle. My goal is to provide you with the tools you need to overcome whatever stands in your way in a respectful and compassionate manner.
