About Me

Dr. Rachel Loftis obtained her Ph.D. and M.A. in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in psychology from Saint Louis University. Dr. Loftis’ work has primarily focused on children and adolescents, providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy in addition to comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and parent management training.

Most recently, she has partnered with the University of Arizona College of Medicine in their Outpatient Psychiatry, Anxiety Disorders, Testing, and Insomnia Clinics, as well as their Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICENTER). She specializes in anxiety, selective mutism, school refusal, and mood disorders, though she works with a variety of developmental, behavioral, cognitive, attention and hyperactivity, social-emotional, adaptive, and learning problems.

She is a published research clinician in her areas of specialty and has taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her primary theoretical approach is cognitive-behavioral, with the incorporation of techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and an appreciation for the biopsychosocial approach.

Child psychology focuses primarily on children and adolescents, providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy. It also includes comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and parent management training.
