Kaijah Bjorklund
My name is Kaijah Bjorklund (she, her, hers). I love my work as a counselor. I find great joy and reward in being a person that is able provide support through life's challenging moments and ongoing struggles. In my work I draw from the relevant neuroscientific research that is emerging within the field of psychology that provides a deeper understanding of behaviors and experiences. Self-understanding in how we function as humans can remove the shame and blame that can hinder the healing process.
My approach is based on integrative, evidenced-based, and body-centered therapies including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. I enjoy working with & have experience in Personal Growth, Women's issues, Grief and Loss, Trauma and PTSD, Post traumatic growth, Life Transitions, LGBTQIA, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Body Image issues and Chronic Pain and Illness.
I offer Holistic Somatic & Mindfulness Based Therapy. I have a background in Wilderness therapy. My work is informed by my years as a therapeutic bodyworker & instructor along with my personal meditation practice. My study of neuroscience informs my work. Contact me and ask how I might be able to use my skills to meet your individual and unique needs.
