Shally Vaid, MA, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC006531) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC211781) in the state of Georgia. She is the founder and clinical director of Bright Path Therapy and Wellness Center. Shally holds a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology, Professional Counseling from Argosy University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University. She received specialized training completing her internship at Atlanta Psychiatry and Neurology where she provided individual, couples, family and group counseling. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. Alongside private practice, Shally teaches university-level courses in Psychology and Cultural Diversity.

While Shally’s clinical experience includes working with various populations, she has a passion for treating women and children. She specializes in treating women’s psychological and emotional issues and particularly has a deep connection and compassion for women who are facing challenges of pregnancy and motherhood. She has advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. Shally works closely with OBGYNs, psychiatrists, and family practitioners to provide comprehensive care for women. Shally’s specialized training includes perinatal mood disorders, infertility, miscarriage and child loss, and birth trauma.

Shally also focuses on treating children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral struggles. She has a natural affinity for children and teens and can easily connect with them. Shally provides a safe and nonjudgmental space for children and their families to overcome daily challenges and stressful life events. She works closely with parents and caregivers by providing parent coaching and skill building to enhance parent-child relationship.

Lastly, Shally provides counseling services for college students as they navigate the different challenges college life brings. She has taught university-level courses for over 10 years and works well with this population.
