Over the past fifteen years as a therapist, one frequent obstacle I have come across is the commute people make for sessions. Having to take an extra hour (or more) of the day to commute, having to find child care, pick up kids from school, or find transportation in the first place often becomes a reason people don’t pursue therapy. Over the past year I began working with telehealth and moved towards seeing everyone from their own home to remove this barrier. Currently we are all going through the stress of COVID-19 and many therapists have began using telehealth. At Telebehavioral Health US we have focused directly on telehealth since in 2016, using HIPAA compliant video platforms for the same therapy, on a different couch. I personally have worked with people of all ages, while my primary focus is adults and teenagers. My experience includes addressing trauma/PTSD, substance use/abuse and recovery, anxiety, depression, transgender and gender dysphoria, and LGBTQ+ issues for adolescents and adults as an ally. I use various therapy models as we work to find what works best for you. I look forward to working together, accomplishing goals and moving forward in life.
