About Me
Do you try to “have it all together” on the outside but on the inside you’re doubting yourself, bottling up your emotions, or worried others will think less of you when/if they see the “real” you? Maybe you continue to spend time with people who treat you poorly, but you’re not sure why. Perhaps your anxiety is causing physical symptoms like stomach problems or muscle tension. Many of my clients have experienced similar things in the past but are now feeling more grounded and peaceful.
A little about me: I have a Doctor of Education degree in Counselor Education and Supervision and Master of Science degree in Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a registered supervisor in Idaho. I have worked with clients in private practice since 2014 and spent a few years as a high school counselor. My goal is to help you feel more like yourself—a more grounded, intentional, and peaceful version of yourself. I work to create an environment in which you feel understood and unconditionally supported. In this supportive space, I often use EMDR to assist with reprocessing trauma or responses that make us feel “stuck”, and I often incorporate mindfulness activities.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside. I love to ski and hike, and I'm currently working on climbing all 114 of Idaho's 11,000' mountains--a project that will take me a while! My spouse and I have two dogs, a cat, and chickens.
If you are interested in working with a counselor who is gentle and kind yet willing to compassionately challenge you when needed, I would love to speak with you about working together to find more peace in your life. If you are in need of reduced fee counseling, I also supervise counseling interns who see clients at reduced rates ($20-$60/session).
