As an individual…YOU are good. Society, our environment, our relationships, and our own thoughts create messages that have an impact on how we view ourselves and the life we are living. Some of those messages create habits and coping mechanisms that can have negative consequences, consequences that inhibit you from knowing the goodness that lies deep within you. Knowing your inherent goodness gives you the framework and foundation to tackle the tougher issues we will work on together. While it won’t solve all your problems, it is an indispensable starting point for your healing journey.
As a therapist, I am your guide in helping you acknowledge and address the messages, problems, concerns, and stories that are inhibiting your path to embracing your goodness. My goal is to use the therapy process to help you acknowledge the issues, recognize the goodness within yourself and take responsibility for the journey towards your healing.
My understanding of counseling comes from Person-Centered, Narrative, Solution Focused, Developmental and Attachment-based Therapy. I have training and experience in the US and in India and in helping individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds with relationship and parenting issues, substance abuse, identity, depression and severe mental illness.
