Dr. Nikia Belcher
I am Dr. Nikia Belcher, a pre-licensed marriage and family therapist intern. I specialize working with students transitioning from high school, work-related issues, career counseling, behavioral issues, social skills, coping skills, relationship concerns/issues, self-esteem, co-dependency, impulsive disorders and family conflict.
I will work with you on problem-solving, setting goals and many other needs.
I help individuals and families to identify and use their own strengths as well as their weaknesses to recognize their personal goals, dreams and aspirations to effectively develop a plan of action that will lead to their growth and satisfaction. I would like to begin the journey with you.
I earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with specialization in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Phoenix
Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
I have over 15 years experience working for the State Vocational Rehabilitation program serving person with mental and physical disabilities seeking to enter or re-enter or maintain their current employment. I work closely with employers in various capacities, but often-times when employers identify employees with who are experiencing performance issues in the workplace.
I work closely with the public school system and students who receive special education services that will be transitioning from high school to the world of work or college/vocational training.
