♦︎♦︎ CHILD AND FAMILY THERAPIST ♦︎♦︎ I’M CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS♦︎
♦︎♦︎♦︎♦︎I have a sliding scale: $30-$60 Individuals; $30 -$80 Families♦︎♦︎♦︎♦︎♦︎
I believe that people have amazing resilience and strength within themselves. I believe that it is important to be both mentally and physically healthy and that people’s mental health affects their physical health. I am here to assist people with managing life challenges, exploring growth opportunities, hold hope,
discover hidden truths, and to walk along side of people towards improving their quality of life in a safe environment.
My approach is solution-focused and client-centered. I also integrate person-centered therapy, positive psychology, solution-focused therapy, CBT, narrative therapy, attachment theory, somatic therapy, and psychoeducation. This also means that people will be in a safe empathic environment that is client driven and is action oriented. My type of approach helps by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts which increases happiness and treats problems. My approach also challenges distorted perceptions and changes destructive patterns of behavior. Genograms will be used to understand the family system. My approach may be uncomfortable with self-discoveries towards helping with the healing process. I also operate from a family systems perspective. I use mindfulness-based exercises and homework such as journaling, painting, music, relaxation training, sandtray therapy, play therapy, grounding, bi-lateral stimulation, motivational self-talk, and learning new effective ways of coping.
My approach works well with people that have the following: Anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), people that have survived abuse and traumas, sleep disorders, addictions, anger problems, and avoidance. This kind of approach helps with individual happiness and helps improve relationships.
