Michael is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, providing counseling, therapy and life coaching to individuals, couples and families in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando, FL. With over 30 years experience working with individuals and groups. Michael is currently working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among Michael’s areas of expertise are Couples, Family, Trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Depression and Anxiety. Michael’s counseling philosophy is that each person's life story is unique; therefore, their counseling experience is also unique. A person's life experiences and environment impacts them in many ways. Some experiences are easily understood while others may leave us questioning. Working together, we will explore your experiences, their context in your life, and how they affect your thoughts, emotions, self-esteem, and behavior.
Michael’s therapeutic approach is to provide support and insightful feedback to help clients effectively understand and address personal life challenges. Michael integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, Michael works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Professional and Life Coaching
Prior to entering the mental health profession, Michael worked as an executive for a Fortune 500 company providing career/financial coaching and guidance. Michael’s training and experience includes, organizational psychology, cognitive behavioral theory, psychodynamic theory, and systems theory. Michael's approach to coaching is to focus on an individual's or group's strengths to succeed in areas of opportunity.
Michael received a Master’s of Social Work degree from the Catholic University of America. Michael also earned degrees in Business Management and Psychology.
