Kira Hayes
I am a queer identifying therapist
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation for healing, so I do my best to provide a therapeutic space that is safe and free of judgment for all unique and diverse individuals, relationships, and families.
I have a laid back personality and maintain a direct and authentic way of engaging. I truly enjoy working alongside my clients to help them meet their goals and often say I plan to be “in the trenches with you” as a team to address the challenges.
My formal training includes an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in LGBTQ+ Couples and Family Therapy. I work hard to maintain a current and competent practice by actively pursuing my training and education.
Some of my additional areas of focus include working with:
gender and sexually diverse (GSD)
consensual non-monogamy
intimate relationships
communication and conflict resolution challenges
sex, kink, and body positivity
anxiety & depression
student-athlete mental health (I have been a competitive athlete most of my life and know how valuable competent support is)
My personal therapy approach is integrated and evolves to meet the unique needs of each client. I tend to be collaborative, experiential, and client-centered within my systemic lens.
