Katherine Portillo

My therapeutic focus is centered to every client's needs and personal situation. I like to focus on reframing thoughts and emotions and educating clients on resources that will make their life more manageable and help each client reach a sense of contentmentI have experience working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. My educational and working background includes self-esteem, co-dependency, trauma, depression, grief, loss, anxiety, family issues, substance abuse and addiction and prevention. I am an EMDR Therapist; which is therapy that specializes in reprocessing trauma.

I have a Master's degree in Counselor Education and I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Life Coach. I am currently working towards my License in Professional Counseling (LPC-Intern).
