MY APPROACH
I am passionate about assisting individuals & families on their journey through life's challenging moments. I strive to assist individuals in finding fulfillment, engagement & empowerment in their life.
While our past experiences & connections have led us to where we are this does not have to be where we stay; we can choose what will define us moving forward, our pain or our strength. I work to assist clients in developing their own unique path toward growth & healing while honoring & creating understanding around the role their past has played in shaping them.
Taking this first step and reaching out for support takes strength and courage. I am honored to be a part of my clients journey and provide a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment, creating space to heal, grow, & discover positive change.
My clinical styles utilize psychodynamic, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral, internal family systems & strength based approaches focused on creating engagement through individualized therapeutic relationships.
MY BACKGROUND
Working in the field since 2008 has developed my practice & understanding of mental health within a variety of settings including adult outpatient services, juvenile corrections, acute residential treatment, child & family community mental health, as well as work with cancer survivors. More recently my work has focused on the impacts of grief on individual development & relationships.
Through my own personal loss experiences, I was awakened to the resounding touch grief has on every aspect of a life. These experiences ignited my work toward understanding the impacts & healing surrounding grief
