Cheryl A. Francis, LPC, CPCS, is the owner of The Heart Matters Wellness Services LLC, a full-service counseling agency. At The Heart Matters Wellness Services, LLC, she offers compassionate, therapeutic services to individuals and families desiring to live emotionally healthy and well-balanced lives. She focuses on progressive treatments, providing strength-based support to help clients manage emotions related to anxiety, current and childhood trauma, and substance use. She helps move clients forward in their personal and professional goals by supporting them to identify and remove barriers keeping them from goal achievement. Cheryl is Trauma Focused-CBT trained and works primarily from a CBT approach. She is currently working toward her Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) roster. She partnered with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy to train individuals in the prevention of childhood sexual abuse. She is a certified Mental Health First Aid-Youth and Adult trainer and regularly provides seminars to the community and professionals on various mental health and self-care issues. Locally, she has presented for agencies such as Ridgeview Institute, Odyssey Family Counseling Center, Oakhill Child and Adolescent Center, to name a few. She has presented internationally on mental health disorders, suicide, and self-care for Clergy. She hosts a monthly wellness group for mental health professionals and is a regular contributor to the West Georgia Woman monthly magazine.
