I have been working with individuals for over 40 years in the helping professions in one way or another. My approach to therapy is primarily, but not only, through dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). One of the phrases in DBT that captures the goal of my work is to help people create a life worth living. I believe that most emotions, thoughts and circumstances can be managed. I see myself as a problem solver and really enjoy helping people improve their lives. I try to help people identify the things in their life that are working and build on those skills, interest or connections so that we aren’t starting from scratch. I particularly enjoy helping people with trauma, and relationship issues.
