Bio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and addiction specialist who provides therapy to young adults, adults and seniors. My work focuses on addiction and recovery issues as well as depression, anxiety and life transitions.

Over the last 14 years I have provided clinical strategies and coordinated pharmacological interventions and community supports to guide individuals and their families cope during vulnerable periods. Using a relational approach and incorporating a neurobehavioral model of addiction treatment, I focus on supporting an individual both during our session and through care coordination.

My experience has been shaped by serving in pubic and private organizations in researching and executing clinical methods through roles ranging from lecturer at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, guest editor for the Journal of Social Work Practice in the Addictions and clinical supervisor and consultant for a private NYS licensed chemical dependence facility in New York City for which I was their Clinical Director.

I am a New York and New Jersey state licensed clinical social worker and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).
