Today’s families and relationships are very difficult to maintain with such a fast paced society. Everyday there are stressors and different areas in our lives that need our attention. There does not seem to be enough time to take care of ourselves and our most precious relationships as well as our own emotions. Taking the time to invest in ourselves as well as our family relationships is the best reward that offers the best outcome.
As a child and adolescent therapist it is important to meet the client where they are. There are different areas that we can focus on: Behavior concerns, attention and focus as well as different phases that interrupt our children’s cycle as they learn to fit in and where they are accepted. I will offer the support and the guidance that will help them navigate their young adult lives.
With families I will offer the support to bridge differences, trust issues as well as finding solutions to smooth the everyday edges that create issues that press the seams of the family circle.
When we experience grief our coping skills are challenged. Having a place to tell your story, be heard and someone who understands the value of the steps of grief is part of the recovery process. As your grief therapist I will listen and walk with you through this time of need.
