I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in perinatal wellness and body image. As I find with many things in life, personal experience pushes you towards the right path. And my personal experience as a woman and mother brought me to a place of passion for helping people with both of these experiences. They also go hand in hand because most moms will tell you that you cannot talk about motherhood without acknowledging your body and its role in all of it!
I am a mom and through my own journey I stumbled upon some wonderful people and supports and I also experienced the things we don’t hear enough about, but many moms experience. The ride of motherhood can provide you with so much joy and yet also so much struggle simultaneously. What I have found to be true is this…in the moments of “yes, me too” and “I’ve been there, it will get better” you find your way through the difficult stuff and on the other side with MORE.
More love to give
More balance between your needs and others
More connection with people who are there to support you and cheer you on
