With compassion, awareness of the present moment and non-judgment, I help clients navigate life’s challenges. I empower clients to make positive and effective changes needed to reduce stress, decrease anxiety and depression, solve problems and live happier, more meaningful lives. I offer a safe and supportive environment to build insight, develop new coping skills, encourage growth and psychological flexibility and challenge thoughts that are no longer beneficial. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Solution Focused techniques and work with each client individually to mutually create treatment goals.
My style is supportive, empathetic, strength-based, practical, straightforward and effective. I maintain a small, personal, private practice. Correspondence is handled securely by phone, e-mail or text, suitable to client's preference.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults in a wide array of issues including anxiety, depression, frustration tolerance/anger management, life transitions, occupational and/or educational difficulties, parenting, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, teen pregnancy, and trauma and abuse.
