Bio

Hello, My Name Is Mike and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and I have been helping people in clinical settings since 2012.

My expertise is in two areas. The first is helping adults cope with problems that can range from depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, OCD, life transitions, or low self-esteem. My second specialty is supporting and teaching coping skills to individuals, or couples, experiencing any difficulties that can arise pre-pregnancy, during pregnancy, and postpartum.

Since graduating from Fisher College in 2011 with Bachelor of Science in Human Services, and graduating in 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston Colleges School of Social Work, I have been privileged to work in a variety of mental health settings. These settings include a Massachusetts Department of Mental Health group home, the Massachusetts prison system, MIT, McLean Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, and an outpatient mental health office.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and includes a helpful dose of humor. I believe in treating my clients with the respect, sensitivity, and compassion they deserve. I also believe in empowering individuals to make changes in their life and use their strengths to become the best version of themselves. I want to help you to achieve the vision of yourself that you hold in your mind. You are that person that you envision and with a little help from me, we can help get you there!

My approach combines traditional talk therapy, strengths-based approach, skill building, mindfulness, and lots of humor to help people gain the confidence and tools they need to feel better. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs as our relationship develops.

I realize life can be challenging and sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us on this journey. As your therapist you will find that I provide a safe, nurturing, confidential, and fun environment conducive to getting you better. My commitment is to help find real solutions for real problems and to have some laughs along the way.

I will be here to assist you in whatever challenge you are facing and to empower you to live YOUR best life. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!
