Kami Guidry

Kami Guidry is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate, supervised by Layla Z. Scott, PhD, LMFT, CFLE. Kami attended Texas Woman's University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Master of Science in Family Therapy. She is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist, Certified Family Life Educator, Certified Prepare-Enrich Premarital and Marriage Facilitator, and is fully trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT) Therapy.

Kami has done extensive work with couples, parents, and families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is passionate about working with couples facing challenges such as trauma, betrayal, and infidelity and also those looking to strengthen the couple relationship. Kami also has training and experience with adolescents and teens with mental health and behavioral problems within the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient setting.

Kami utilizes a variety of evidence based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to find the best solution for her clients. Kami is passionate about helping create healthy individuals, couples, and families, as well as empowering parents and caregivers. Kami offers a customized approach that addresses systemic issues as well as individual concerns.
