About Me

My practice is dedicated to serving those who have no insurance, low income or struggling financially and cannot afford regular priced therapy sessions. I provide strengths based, holistic, individualized treatment (Colorado only), substance abuse counseling and recovery coaching (Colorado and Missouri) and Therapeutic Expressive Arts and recovery coaching (all states).

You are not a one size fits all being. We work together to come up with your goals and the methods of treatment that work for you. I am trained in multiple treatment modalities with expressive arts being the foundation. My specialty is working with women through expressive arts, traditional talk therapy, mindfulness based practices, integrated health (nutrition and lifestyle) and yoga.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist and Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (Adult, Child, Adolescent, Family and Addictions based) and have numerous certifications in trauma and clinical trauma practices as well as somatic embodiment (body based therapies). I have worked with individuals focusing on holistic, mindfulness based, spiritual and personal growth, therapeutic arts coaching and therapy and creative exploration for the past 15 years.

Therapeutic Art and Expressive arts Facilitation is a “no art experience required” process of exploring creativity and yourself in a non judgmental way combining different forms of creating in one session, activity or lesson. For instance you might start a session with grounding, breathwork and a short moving meditation, then move to an art based creation process (painting, collage, photography) then in summary, create a poem or find quotes that say something personal and meaningful about your process of creation, exploration or feelings. I incorporate all methods of creating in various form such as visual art, music use/composition ’performance, movement, the use or creation of film and photography, expressive writing and poetry, etc. Mindfulness help us dive deep and find sanctuary in our process of creating and exploring our personal struggles.

I’ve been a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation for over 20 years, studied Pranayama and Primordial Breathwork and Meditation at the Chopra Center and am trained in Isha Kriya, iRest, Yoga Nidra, Zen, Metta, Tonglen and somatic embodiment as well as Jon Kabat Zinn's MBSR.
