For clients who are struggling with overwhelming emotions, I provide empathy, compassion, a sounding board, and a safe space to be vulnerable. I believe that you are the expert of your own experiences, and by holding a space that is non-judgmental and strengths-based when working together, you will reclaim ownership of your life. My method is eclectic and integrative, not using a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Some of the tools in my tool belt include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, deep breathing and grounding skills, solutions-focused therapy, and crisis intervention. Through collaborating on shared goals, strengthening coping strategies, and gaining valuable insight, you will start to shift your perspective from surviving to thriving.
