Life can be overwhelming and we all need validation that we have the strength to carry on. You might wish that you were more confident in your relationships, parenting, career, or in yourself. Maybe you would like to regain your identity after having a child, be less worried about everything in life, or establish boundaries with others. Sometimes you just need someone to say “you’re not alone” and that “you can do this.” Our work is to embrace these challenges and fears and find the strength within to move forward.
I'm a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and currently in the qualification process to be a certified perinatal mental health counselor. I work primarily with adults addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, career problems, and low self-worth.
I especially enjoy working with new or expectant parents as they navigate the transitions surrounding the perinatal period. My goal is to help each parent find balance, feel grounded, be present, and re-establish their individual identity within their “new normal.” From the struggles of infertility, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, rewriting the narrative of a traumatic birth experience, to the struggle of a new mom balancing her “perfect mom” expectations with the often far from perfect reality, my goal is to provide validation and necessary support.
I use a person-centered and strength-based approach alongside a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques to meet the various needs of my clients.
