About Me
Becky believes that all humans are works in progress, and as such, we sometimes get lost or detoured along the way. Whether you are trying to numb pain, recover from a sudden unexpected change, or actively pursue personal transformation, seeking help in those moments is a sign of courage and strength, not weakness. We all have an innate capacity for change and healing inside us and the therapeutic relationship can act as a container for that growth.
Becky offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore and work through whatever challenges you might be facing. Her work is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), research on self-compassion, wilderness/nature-based therapies, and a variety of mindfulness practices. Mindfulness helps create space in between stimulus and response, and in that space lives your ability to choose something different for yourself. She will work with you to identify and shift patterns that might be getting in the way of your goals and happiness, and allow you to find your path to healing.
Becky is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. She has a master of arts degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University. She also has a background in business and spent a decade working a variety of jobs in the corporate world, so she is all-too-familiar with the stresses and pressures the modern business world can sometimes impose on us and how we can work towards a healthier balance. She has spent the past 6 years working with teens, young adults and adults in a variety of mental health settings, including home-based mental health care, outpatient substance abuse treatment, and wilderness retreats.
