I use a person-centered, strengths-and-resilience approach that focuses on the individual’s capabilities in order to reach his or her goals and find balance. When working with families, I focus on the individuals that make up each family. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential counseling environment, based on being genuine, empathetic and respectful. My clients should be open and motivated for change. Additionally, I can assist with anger management and developing new and healthy coping skills. They also respond to my direct, honest, and nurturing approach in therapy.
I use an eclectic mix of therapies depending on each person’s needs. I am not a worksheet therapist or one size fit for all. I love talking about the brain and personality types. Acceptance and authenticity are what you can expect to find when you meet with me. If you have never tried counseling, give me a call to see if we are a good fit.
I love the flexibility telehealth provides for clients who need evening or different hours. Although I do love getting to know my clients in person, utilizing our resources to encourage healthy mental health through telehealth services is very beneficial and necessary.
