There is a lot in life that can lead us to feel overwhelmed, unhappy, or even lonely. Finding a place where it can be comfortable to express and explore our feelings and needs can be so valuable. We will start with that in therapy and work toward developing the same ability outside the room in every day life with those we care about and want to feel more connected to.
Therapy is often uncomfortable, but we do it to learn that encountering the discomfort head on strengthens us more than trying to avoid it. It will inevitably catch up with us anyways. Prioritize yourself, your relationship, and your future comfort by taking some time to so the meaningful work you need.
Alex is a therapist who works primarily with couples and adults to develop healthy relationships and emotional understanding. He is trained in EFT, an attachment-based approach to couples therapy.
Alex also offers MFT supervision to clinicians working toward licensure or seeking systemic therapy consultation.
