About Me
Dr. Krysta Winters moved to the Indianapolis area in 2019 after living in Barcelona, Spain for two years. Prior to that, she worked for over 18 years in the Chicagoland area of the United States. She received her Doctorate (Psy.D.) and Master’s Degree (MA) in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois after completing her Bachelorate Associate (BA) degree from Goucher College in Maryland. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Indiana and a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Illinois, and can provide life coaching for those interested in her services outside of Indiana or Illinois.
Krysta specializes in individual and family therapy, dealing with issues related to anxiety, eating disorders, complicated grief and loss, trauma, depression, relationships, and stress management. She enjoys working with age groups throughout the lifespan, especially adolescents to adults and can offer parenting skills for parents with younger children.
Krysta has extensive experience exploring how different people manage change and growth in their lives, turning times of adversity into areas of strength. Her professional explorations of how culture and gender play a role in people’s daily lives have led her to examine issues related to rural, international, and ethnic populations, including intergenerational patterns of living.
