Dawn Borer

Dawn Borer is a Christian woman and has been married for 25 years. She has two children who are actively involved in college and life.
Dawn is a graduate from St. Mary’s University with a master’s degree in Developmental Disabilities and another in Counseling and Psychological Services. She held a career as a Director for 20 years providing supervision and home programming for children and adults with behavioral, mental and physical disabilities. Dawn’s areas of interest are children, adults, children and adults with disabilities, families and couples.
She utilizes a variety of techniques with a focus on cognitive behavior therapy incorporating a holistic approach to provide client centered therapy. She is also a certified EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). She has experience working with individuals with trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Dawn places emphasis and is prideful of her skill in building a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients. She works hard to tailor the client’s treatment plan with an approach and goals that meet the specific needs of the individual seeking therapy.
