Weili Lin
I began my vocation as a psychotherapist in 2013 after working in different areas in academia for more than 10 years. I absolutely love what I do! I find excitement in empowering my clients to believe that their lives can be transformed no matter where they are.
I tailor my approaches in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), psychodynamic, and family systems to the needs of my clients.
In the beginning stages, understanding the problem is crucial to the effectiveness of therapy. This is also when goals are created to provide a clear purpose for sessions. The client and therapist collaborate on a plan that specifies how to reach the goals. In the middle stages, different techniques are presented and practiced to make progress towards the goal. In the last stages, there is a celebration of having met the goal and the lessons learned will be reviewed.
