Have you experienced hardship that still affects you today? If your past seems to follow you around, control your emotions, affect your relationships, and repeat itself in the same old patterns, I can help. I specialize in treating trauma, particularly complex trauma. Whether you feel like you have way too much trauma to possibly get through it all—or not enough to even warrant therapy—I want to hear your story. Engaging in deep trauma work at a safe, sustainable pace can help you heal new and old wounds, ultimately leading you to become a more mindful, self-aware, self-compassionate, connected, and resilient version of yourself.
I use a blend of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice. EMDR can help you process your traumatic memories with less risk of being retraumatized by them. ACT focuses on increasing psychological flexibility. I also have specialty training in disability, chronic illness, grief, and loss.
It has been a rough year, and most of us are more socially isolated than ever. This might be one of the hardest times to seek out a therapist, while also the most important. I know that trying to find the right fit therapist can feel overwhelming. I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation to help. Feel free to reach out when you are ready.
