Bio

Before entering private practice full-time, I worked in outpatient mental health and family services settings for 10 years. Since 1988 I’ve been in a solo private practice. As an out lesbian therapist, I work with clients who identify as LGBTQIA+ and with many others who present with their own unique differences and/or sense of minority status in the world. It’s my honor to be able to work with such a range of diverse backgrounds.

My comic novel “Minding Therapy” is about a burnt-out therapist who initially resists therapy of her own. I enjoy working with other writers/artists to address creative blocks and related issues. I also regularly post articles about pop culture and mental health at MindingTherapy.com.
