Dr. Britt started as a therapist in 2003, has been licensed as an LPC/MHSP in the state of TN since 2008, and completed her PhD in Psychology in 2016. She approaches counseling from a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral background blended with family systems theory. “Every client who walks in the door has walked a unique path in life and has a unique story to share with the world. As a clinical therapist, I collaborate with clients to reach the goals that are most important to them and to do so in a way that increases their self-respect and confidence.” Her goal is to help clients process life’s struggles in a meaningful way and gain coping skills they can use in a variety of situations.
Dr. Britt has been married for 20 years. She and her husband, Bryan, have two adolescent children. The family has faced significant challenges over the past 10 years due to a central nervous system disorder that Bryan has, and they credit the Lord for the peace they experience and for faithfully carrying them each step of the way. Dr. Britt is happy to be back in practice after taking a few years away from the clinical realm. She considers it a great privilege to get to do this work and is committed to providing clients the highest level of care with the best research-backed treatment methods available. She is also trained in EMDR as a specialized mode of trauma therapy and also for helping those who suffer from extreme anxiety and depression.
