Dr. Cashuna Huddleston, Ph.D.
I am a licensed psychologist and dedicated professional, firmly grounded in effective therapy, assessment, and consulting practices, striving to provide clients with the highest quality of care. Through a combination of compassion, knowledge, and respect, I work with teens (12+), adults, couples and families to encourage personal growth and development. Whether struggling with depression, anxiety, family relational problems, or any number of other difficulties, it is my goal to assist you and/or your family in fulfilling your goals and improving your quality of life.
I earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The University of Houston and completed an APA-approved internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center – Veteran Affairs Consortium. I fulfilled my clinical postdoctoral fellowship requirements at Baylor College of Medicine with a clinical health psychology focus within the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness, and Safety. As a fellow, my work focused on ACT based psychotherapeutic interventions for patients with chronic health problems and in the evaluation and treatment of Veterans with TBI and psychopathology.
In every client interaction, my primary goal is to help clients develop the necessary skills in thinking and behaving to improve their health, daily functioning, and sense of self-efficacy. I apply best practice methods in helping individuals and families overcome their struggles, but also implement kindness and respect. I use an empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to truly understand individuals’ needs and from a perspective that appreciates the many faucets that inform and influence our lived experiences.
I look forward to working with you!
