I work to build a strong relationship with each client, one that promotes trust, awareness, and understanding. I see therapy as a collaborative effort in which we are equal partners. This allows therapy to become a back-and-forth in which we talk with each other rather than at each other. This style provides you with the freedom to tell your story in your own language, without any expectations or judgments; and me the opportunity to share my thoughts, questions, and observations simply as food for thought. Although I utilize many theories and techniques depending upon my clients’ needs, my approach is primarily based on the belief that it is how and what we think that determine our beliefs, feelings, and actions. Therefore, if we can identify and learn to change our thinking patterns, we can ultimately change our lives. Working together we can uncover and change the thinking and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more rewarding and meaningful life.
