Justin Peck, the world famous owner of Race Pro Technologies racing team, has just teamed up with Mental Health America (MHA). Peck, who is also a cool, desert and off-road driver, is set to help the organization attract more people around the country, so that they take the time to really understand about the serious issues affecting those suffering from addiction and mental health.
Getting Up Close & Personal
Peck, is now serving as an organizational ambassador for Mental Health America, and is due to give a speech at their conference next month (in June). This will prove to be extremely inspiring for many, as Peck will be giving an up close and personal account of his own experiences and trials and tribulations of living with addiction, depression and bipolar disorder.
When he is not racing, Peck, who is becoming extremely popular as a mental health author, speaker and advocate, is devoting a large part of his life to raising awareness about mental health issues. “A suicide survivor who battles class one bipolar disorder, his platform represents raw truth and passion for a movement of inspiration versus despair. Peck’s autobiography “Bulletproof” shares his lifelong story that highlights bipolar disorder, addiction, depression and the daily struggles of all three diseases”.
When it comes to the reality of countless sufferers who cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel, Peck is a true inspiration. His spectacular transformation from being a mental health sufferer, ultimately drove him to enormous success, including winning racing championship titles. In his book, Bulletproof, he is very candid about his very difficult, yet herculean shift in his mental health which involved finally freeing his mind. Raw and transparent, Peck leaves no stone unturned as he shares everything with his readers – his defeats, his resistance, and how he finally “beat the beast”.
Mental Health America president, and CEO, Paul Gionfriddo, stated: “We are excited to be collaborating with Justin, and kicking off our partnership during Mental Health Month. His passion and commitment to mental health is palpable. By using his platform to discuss the importance of mental health, Justin is bringing much-needed awareness to this important and critical discussion – and showing his fans that recovery is possible”.
Online Screening Program
Peck will also be promoting vital resources, such as Mental Health America’s Online Screening Program. Ever since MHA was launched back in 2014, it has screened more than 4 million people; and right now, it gives approximately 3,000 screenings per day. After users complete their screening questionnaires, they receive their results immediately. They are then given excellent resources, easy to understand educational information, and useful links to affiliates. It is hoped that this will help sufferers receive the help they need, before progressing onto stage 4.
Mental Health America’s 2019 Annual Conference
Peck will also be helping out in Washington DC, at the organization’s June 15th 2019 conference. So look out for: “Dueling Diagnoses: Mental Health and Chronic Conditions in Children and Adults” during the 8 am breakfast hour!
