The IFAH ( International Forum on Advancement in Healthcare), has just named Embark Behavioral Health one of the “Top 50 Healthcare Companies in the US” . This accolade was a difficult choice for IFAH, as they had choose from more than 2000 excellent candidates, who have made an extraordinary contribution to the overall advancement of healthcare, and mental health services. Further, Embark was the only mental healthcare facility to receive this great honor.
The Criteria Used to Determine the Top 50 Healthcare Companies
Firstly, a review of 2000 plus unique entries from outstanding healthcare providers, agencies and companies, was carried out in great detail. These came from all sections of the healthcare industry, such as: government agencies, insurers, clinicians, manufacturers, start-ups and hospitals. The nominees were then: “judged on 5 parameters, namely, overall reach, industry impact, “spirit of innovation,” future readiness, and market demand,” all very important and valid points .
Alex Stavros, Embark’s CEO, received the prestigious award on behalf of the company; and was also a keynote speaker at the conference where the presentation was being made. He remarked: “We are thrilled and humbled to be recognized for our work. This honor goes out to our excellent teams who serve on the front lines of mental healthcare every day, and to the families we serve, who despite everything they’ve been through, continue to work to find joy. This award is about bringing awareness to our mission and ‘Big Empathetic, HairyAudacious Goal’– to drive adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide from the all-time highs of today to all-time lows by 2028. Everything we do is in support of this. It’s the reason we exist”.
Embark is highly respected among behavioral healthcare facilities. Its globally validated, substantiated outcomes platform that integrates and collects data, has proved very successful. After analyzing the accrued data, the researchers work out suitable treatment protocols which offer improved effectiveness and planning, right through to therapist level.
The organization was the brainchild of a few leading industry professionals who were united by their unwavering pledge to ameliorate people’s access to mental health; and to drastically improve the outcomes for young adults and adolescents who suffer from mental health issues.
Big Empathetic Hairy Audacious Goal
Embark has recently unveiled its Big Empathetic Hairy Audacious Goal (BEHAG), and is busy asking for support and co-operation from companies within the field of healthcare, as well as the general public. Stavros noted: “The BEHAG is a big, strong guy, but he can’t do it alone. We need like-minded people and programs to join us in tackling the negative mental health trends in our country and help us achieve our goal. The stakes are too high not to succeed”. This statement is very true indeed: the stakes are extremely high, and the incidents of mental health issues, and lack of treatment facilities and guidance, are no where near being satisfied.
