“A national standard ensures that addiction programs are validated for their level of care, quality, and efficacy of treatment”
California based Asana Recovery is delighted to announce that it is one of the first organizations to be given the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) Level of Care certification. In addition to this, it is America’s only West Coast facility to be awarded this distinction.
This highly respected nationwide certification, which is valid for three years, was devised in association with CARF International. The idea behind its launch is to show that centers which have received the award, have demonstrated their ability to render and deliver a high level of services which are in accordance with proven guidelines for the varying tiers of care.
What Does the Certification Program Offer?
It delivers an extensive, independent evaluation of treatment programs, along with the facility’s dedication and conformity to specific guidelines, as layed out in the ASAM certification criteria. Asana Recovery was one of eight centers to be awarded an ASAM Level of CARE 3.5.
The ASAM Criteria
The criteria refers to: “treatment as a continuum defined by four broad levels of service and an interventional level. The decimal numbers further illustrate the range of intensity of services. A 3.5 Level of CARE is defined as a program with clinically managed, high-intensity, residential services”. This type of grading makes it very easy for addicts seeking treatment, as it serves as a guarantee that they will have a high standard of treatment, and if this is not the case, then they will be able to take matters further through a complaints service.
“The efforts by ASAM and CARF to standardize the delivery of addiction medicine is overwhelmingly critical to the future of the addiction treatment industry”
The CEO of Asana Recovery, Mark Shandrow, remarked: “To say that we are thrilled to be part of a distinct group of treatment centers is an understatement. To have Asana Recovery be part of a significant milestone and landmark achievement in standardizing addiction treatment care is not only meaningful to us as an organization, but also a testament of the hard work and commitment of each person who has cared for every patient that comes through our doors”.
About Asana Recovery
Asana Recovery was established in 2017. Since that time, its out of the box approach, together with evidenced-based scientific, traditional methods, and alternative techniques, has meant that patients have the advantage of a broad range of treatments.
Asana provides services for the full range and stages of addiction recovery. Patients’ treatment also involves experiencing life-skills, including introducing them to a family setting or community. This is designed to guarantee that their changeover back to sober living is a seamless, smooth process. Moreover, the facility offers supervised 24/7 support from onsite staff, something which is essential for the detox stage.
